Well, first of course, I should point out we've unlocked the additional heads for our hero models. This means they'll have arm, head and weapons swaps, as well as THREE profiles for each TDE faction. Really exciting stuff.
But that's not what today's update is about. EVENT TIME!!!
But first, a sneaky teaser. People have asked if we're going to do a "community designed model" again, just like last kickstarter. Short answer: you bet! Long answer: Yes, but it's going to be a bit different this time around! I'll just leave this banner here and let people speculate in the comments section below, about what we might be doing...
Community Contribution Events!
These events give you a chance to make a permenent contribution to The Drowned Earth, and Raptor Claw Island! Kickstarter doesn't allow competitions, so there will be no prizes for these. They're just for glory, and a chance to put your creative stamp on some small part of Ulaya. How exciting is that!
Are you a writer? Do you fancy writing a short story for The Drowned Earth? Would you like it to be published on the fiction section of thedrownedearth.com?
Theme? It must be set in The Thousand Isles (of which Raptor Claw Island is one!).
Length? No more than 2500 words.
Deadline? May 20th.
Prize? Glory! The best submission will be published in the fiction section of the website.

The Drowned Earth scenario: a fully written scenario, ready to play! Have at it!
Ulaya Chronicles scenario: Write the story, design (loosely) the Heat and Objective deck structure, and give an idea of the type of terrain and initial setup. Of course, without game experience, we understand this will probably be a bit unfinished: coolest, and most fleshed out idea wins here! We're not looking for something immediately playable.
Deadline: June 1st.

It's time to get creative!!! Build a piece of Ulaya Chronicles scenery... this could be a realisation of one of the existing tiles, or something from your imagination. Totally up to you! Now, for those of you who'd like to create one of the existing tiles, here are some sizes. Boat and Crashed Ship: 200mm x 90mm. Large jungle tile: 140mm x 80mm. Small ruin: 65mm x 45mm. Junked Spider Tank: 90mm x 40mm.
Theme: Anything you like! The more world appropriate the better.
Painted? Of course!
Prize: Glory! We'll publish photos of the contributions on Facebook and shout out the best.

Woohoo! Day 2 achievements unlocked...
435% funded!
"Pirate" AI deck unlocked!
Linen finish on all tiles, tokens and standees unlocked!
Magnosor Alpha unlocked!
And a few of you requested some pictures of the newly unlocked Alpha sculpts, which are now in the Deluxe Dino Bundle, or can be added as extras if you are in a lower pledge level (or desperately need extras!).

And what about the new pledge levels?
Well, for me the unsung hero is the cave map unlock... No art for that one yet, but next week we'll be having an interview with Henning Ludvigsen, who will be designing it... if we unlock it. What's more, there might be the option to unlock some extra tiles to add veriety to the layout as well! But you all want to look at Dahu don't you?! I know! Amazing, isn't she?

What can I say? Thank you all so much for your faith in me, and Ulaya Chronicles. So exciting!
We funded in 23 minutes, and broke through the first two stretch goals in an hour...
Honestly, I wasn't expecting such a fantastic response, and so it's taken me a little bit of time to catch up with additional stretch goals! Don't worry, I've got plenty planned, but didn't think I'd have to get them up so soon!
Stretch goals!
I want to talk about some of these in more depth in future updates, but adding extra goodness to the Hero Pack was very high on my "wants" list. So far we've unlocked the extra arms which will allow you some veriety in how you build your characters, and while writing this we're really close to getting the extra weapon options too.
This means that the hero pack will double as a "troop pack" for The Drowned Earth, where you'll be able to add unamed "mooks" to your crews. Each Hero pack will now include two different troop profile cards for each TDE faction! How cool is that!
But we're not done there. We've also unlocked an additional scenario, which will add more branches and choices to the campaign. And even more exciting- the Alpha Sinoraptor sculpt! He's big, he's gnarly, and he doesn't like you! Of course he'll be supplied with a TDE profile card too.
New Goals Added!
Who doesn't like linen finish cards? I certainly do! They shuffle better and look nicer too. Upgrading the component quality is one way in which Kickstarter is the ideal place to launch a game. Lets see what else we can improve!
Next, we will comission three more tile designs, to add veriety and act as showy centrepieces for some of the scenarios. We'll commission a funky glowing "tech bridge", make an activated version of the ruined spider-bot tile and make a lift-cage tile, that I have a rather fun scenario idea for!
Extra Playthrough Videos
The Beasts of War video was up at launch, but I was lucky enough to get Andy from Black Jack Legacy to have a look at the game as well, and play through two special "prologue" scenarios which were designed to teach the game. These will be included in the base game as well, and the first one will come with a "walkthrough" section in the rules, which you can treat like a video game tutorial: so you can get up and running without ever reading the rules!!

Lots of information coming soon guys. This was a bit of a rushed update. Wasn't expecting to need one so soon, but rest assured we're going to have fun over the next 28 days, learning about Ulaya Chronicles, the world of The Drowned Earth, and perhaps indulging in some pirate vs dino shenanigans
